Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Roberto DeVicenzo and Tony Lema played at Glyfada Golf Club in Athens, Greece and originally aired on January 8, 1966. Roberto DeVicenzo, an Argentinean, has won over 100 titles around the world and represented his country 17 times in World Cup Competition. He was inducted in the PGA Hall of Fame in 1979. DeVicenzo won nine PGA Tour Events and the 1967 British Open. Tony Lema burst onto the golf scene in 1957 and quickly established himself as a force on the PGA Tour. Known as Champagne Tony Lema, for his style of life, he won 11 PGA Tour titles and the 1964 British Open. Tony died in airplane disaster just seven months after this match aired on television. 60 Minutes.
