Shell's Wonderful World of Golf - Volume 10: Chi Chi Rodriguez and Mike Souchak (Video)
Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Chi Chi Rodriguez and Mike Souchak, played at The Panama Country Club and originally aired on January 15, 1966. Chi Chi Rodriguez, born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, is still one of the game's most beloved players. A winner of 8 PGA Tour events, he represented Puerto Rico in 12 World Cup competitions and continues to find success on the Senior Tour. Mike Souchak was a college football star at Duke University before making his way onto the PGA Tour, where he made an immediate impact. One of the PGA Tour's longest hitters, his 257 total during the 1957 Texas Open still stands as the low 72 hole PGA Tour scoring record. 60 Minutes.
