The follow through is the final step in the Full Golf Swing. Not finishing your Golf Swing properly will result in a loss of club head speed, distance and you may also hurt yourself if you do not allow your body to complete the movements it started. The Follow Through is the part of the golf swing that is made directly after your golf club hits the golf ball. In a good Follow-Through, your Swing should end with your hands near your head. Your club head should be kept on the target line.
STEP 1: Turn your hip towards the target and move your right knee towards the left followed by your shoulders. The angle of your club shaft and left forearm should remain unchanged as your club and hands move towards the toe line.
STEP 2: Hit the ball. Your right shoulder should be lower than your left. Turn your belt buckle towards your target.
STEP 3: Your right heel may rise due to the momentum. Your right arm and club should extend in a straight line. The V position of your arms should be retained in the follow-through. This is the sign that your club hit the ball with maximum speed.
STEP 4: At follow-through, your hand should be over your left shoulder. Most of your weight should be on the left foot and your right foot is on its toe to retain balance.
These are the ways in order to perform the perfect Golf Follow-Through. Study them carefully and practice what you have learned the next time you play Golf.
