Taking a Golf Swing starts with setting up and placing yourself in a good stance that will allow you to make a perfect Full Golf Swing. A Good Golf Stance in combination with the correct Golf Club Grip are the prerequisites for making a good golf swing and getting your ball where you want it to go. Without a good stance you are likely to start of with a bad backswing, resulting in a bad downswing, bad ball contact and overall lousy results. Golf Stance - Types
You can alter your Golf Stance depending on the kind of shot you are planning to make. There are generally three stances: Square Stance, Open Stance and Close Stance. In this section we will look at each of these stances and how they differ and when they can be used.

Good posture, proper alignment and an over-all Good Golf Stance are factors that contributes a great deal on where your ball will go. The distance between your feet affects Ball Flight direction since the angle to which your feet are aligned with the target. Ideally, you use a Square Stance wherein the feet farthest to the target is directly perpendicular to the target. However, you may also use the variations on any Golf Stance to achieve a particular purpose.
