Ultimate Rooftop Golf Challenge in NYC
MONDAY, 28 JUNE 2010
WHAT:
World-renowned female golfer, Annika Sorenstam, PGA Tour Professional Briny Baird & PGA Teaching Pro and U.S. Veteran Don Vickery, the first and only double amputee Class A member of the PGA of America, will attempt the ultimate golf challenge to benefit charity.
Each player will hit 10 floating golf balls from the rooftop of a 40-story building at Waterside Plaza in an attempt to reach a floating bulls-eye target in the East River.
Based on the golfers’ accuracy, P.F. Chang’s will offer everyone in America a free order of their signature Lettuce Wraps* and donate up to $100,000.
THE SHOT:
* Each person will get 10 shots
* Tee box will reside 40 stories in the air at a height of 347 feet atop the Waterside Plaza
* The target is more than 450 feet from the tee box at the top of the Plaza roof
* Target is 110 feet in diameter and the bulls-eye is 30 feet in diameter
THE PRIZES:
* Hit the bulls-eye: America gets free Lettuce Wraps*; $2,500 donation per ball
* Hit the “inner ring”: $1,500 donation per ball
* Hit the “outer ring”: $1,000 donation per ball
