Medal Play Golf Tour East Valley Champions Results

The Medal Play Golf Tour completed its second event of the season this past Sunday. Daniel Hernandez shook off the pre-season rust and ignored the rather chilly conditions to post a stellar 79 net 73 to take the championship in A Flight. Shaun Clark posted a steady 76 net 74 for second place and Thomas Tennison took 3rd with a 85 net 76.
Julian Hernandez held off Ekkawut Wongsuwanloet and Charlie Waddell by 2 strokes shooting 90 net 80 for the win.
The low round of the day came from the Senior D Flight with Rick Lehman firing a smooth 72 net 70 for his first win on tour. Greg Mokler shot a 78 net 78 for second and Jack Martin was 3rd with 80 net 79.
Tom Estimo in the Senior E Flight earned a “Battlefield Promotion” to the Senior D Flight with a stellar 77 net 68. Bob Costa held off David Onken in a scorecard playoff after both men fired net 76’s.
Phil Dickens made his debut on tour a good one claiming Senior F Flight with an 89 net 71. Virgil Mink and Michael Tocchini were close behind with net 73 and net 79 respectfully.
