Fairways Golf Vacations (FGV) launched a new travel affiliate program for golf professionals. Premiering at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FGV introduced three travel affiliate packages that will not only drive new sales, but will also offer significant benefits to the golf professional. Benefits include free or reduced group travel, discounts on personal golf travel and the ability to earn commission on customers merely referred to Fairways. “We are excited about partnering with golf professionals,” stated Alan B. Hale, President of Fairways Golf Vacations, “We believe that this is a unique opportunity for golf professionals to take their customers and their training on the road and experience different courses, all while earning additional income for themselves. Never mind, the golf pro can deepen the relationships with his customers or members.”
The plan announced includes three different options for professional golfers to select to maximize their earning potential and level of involvement. The programs have been dubbed, the ProPar, ProBirdie, and ProEagle Affiliations. Each package allows for a different level of marketing involvement and revenue sharing with the golf professionals, allowing golf professionals to fit their marketing initiatives and earning potential based upon their clientele. Each package is designed to promote group travel, offering benefits such as free or discounted travel for the golf professional, personal travel discounts on golf trips, custom-branded group fliers to promote groups, inclusion in Fairways’ quarterly marketing materials, custom-branded e-mails, and the ability to earn referral commissions on trips to any of Fairways world-wide golf destinations. To help golf professionals improve his or her earnings, they can opt-in to quarterly emails sent directly to their customers to help grow their golf travel business.
“The goal of the new program is simple,” said Hale, “We want to provide an incentive for a club’s or public course’s golf pro and their customers to experience great golf vacations around the globe while our team delivers ultimate customer service by eliminating all the mundane tasks associated with group travel.”
