USBGA Announces its Tournament Services Division
FRIDAY, 9 MAY 2008
Tampa, Florida - Since its debut in April '08, the United States Black Golfers Association (USBGA) has made an impressive stance and received substantial press in the golfing community. USBGA has announced the inception of its Tournament Services Division (TSD) that will begin on May 15. The Tournament Services Division will be an integral part of USBGA because it will increase the awareness and fundraising efforts of the companies or organizations hosting and sponsoring the events.
In addition to USBGA's main purpose (creating a golf platform that mirrors that of the Professional Golfers' Association (PGAŽ) by creating the USBGA Championship Tour); Tournament Services will conduct golf outings, events, and functions for corporations and golf fundraisers for non-profit organizations.
"We believe in creating and growing synergistic partner relationships and sponsorships that will benefit both, the host entity and USBGA. By providing tournament services in support of the host, USBGA can lend name recognition to increase exposure and its services to provide a professional event setting which encourages participants to support the host's efforts," states Angela Taylor, VP of Tournament Services.
USBGA is a member-based golf organization that provides a unified, member-oriented entity, whose members could play the game of golf on a beginner, semi-professional, and/or professional level. USBGA has created a dual system that mirrors the Professional Golfers' Association (PGAŽ) via the USBGA Championship TourŽ. Companies and organizations can visit MyUSBGA.com for more information.
