Proceeds from a golf tournament Bright House Scramble for the Future, which was held last November 3, along with proceeds from other fundraising events sponsored by the residents of SummerGlen, will benefit the homeless youth.
The proceeds which amounted to $27,481 were donated to Marion County Public Schools’ Homeless Children & Youth Program. The funds were handed over to Homeless Children & Youth Program Coordinator Suzanne McGuire during the SummerGlen homeowner’s meeting last December 11.
According to McGuire, the said funds will be used to buy school supplies, clothes, emergency food as well as other necessities for over 900 children.
