The 8th Annual Santa Teresa Charity Golf Tournament organizers recently gave the proceeds of $10,200 to Sunland Park and Desert View elementary schools.
The two elementary schools in the Gadsden Independent School District received the donation from the said event which was held last October 19 at the Santa Teresa Country Club.
In the last eight years, the annual charity event was able to garner a total of $80,000 for the schools' honors award ceremonies that is held at the end of the year. The said ceremonies recognize the students’ efforts in obtaining exemplary academic achievements as well as for their outstanding contributions to the community.
