Redesigned Cardinal Golf Club Launched

The newly redesigned Cardinal Golf Club was launched last July 25. The private club in Greensboro is once again open for members.
According to the club's new owner, the McConnell Golf of Raleigh, the golf course has maintained about 70 percent of its original layout. The new owner also claimed that the only major physical change was the additional 330 yards and the improvements on the club's facilities.
The improvement and renovation effort was led renowned designer Pete Dye. Incidentally, Dye was also the original designer of the Cardinal Golf Club.
He said, "It's a rare opportunity to renovate a course you originally designed. I felt it was a great layout before, and now it is truly a championship venue."
