Liberty National, New PGA Tour Stop
MONDAY, 28 MAY 2007
The PGA Tour stop on August 2009 has been moved from Westchester Country Club in Harrison, New York to Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey.
The Liberty National Golf Club, which has been opened just last summer, was built for $150 million."It's an exciting new venue for golf, and we hope to showcase it. Tiger Woods wants to conquer everything out there. Until he conquers Liberty, he hasn't,” Dan Fireman, its builder, said.
The Liberty National Golf Club may become a regular PGA Tour site if it meets the standards of the professional competition.
