Fifteen-Year-Old Leading Asiad Golf Tourney

MONDAY, 11 DECEMBER 2006

Fifteen-year-old golfer Pan Cheung-Tsung of Taiwan is currently at the helm at Asian Games golf tournament in Doha, Qatar.

With an 11-under-par 205 coming into the fourth round, he has the chance to take the win in this year's quadrennial event. But he will be faced with tough opposition, mostly from South Korean golfers who are currently trailing him. At 2nd is Kim Kyung-Tae, followed by Kim Do-Hoon and Kang Sung-Hoon at 3rd and 4th places, respectively.

The 15th Asian Games will be held at various venues in Doha from December 1-15. China is currently leading by a large margin in medal rankings with 110 golds, 63 silvers and 39 bronzes for a total of 212, followed by Japan with 136 and Korea with 135.
