What could have been a historic event was cancelled yesterday due to technical problems. The planned golf shot in outer space by cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin did not push through because of a malfunction on his space suit. Reports say that a cooling mechanism in his suit got bent for a still unknown reason.
Engineers on earth tried to help Tyurin figure out the problem to no avail. Because of that, the event was cancelled altogether along with several tasks that they were supposed to do that day. The golf shot was to be the first task, followed by repairs on an antenna of the space station and recovering some experiments.
There are currently no announcements of when the said event will be rescheduled.
