World's First Synthetic Golf Course Built in Oz

According to Australia's The Age newspaper, an 18-hole synthetic golf course is being constructed along Zilzie Bay. The course which is slated to be finished next year is the first of its kind anywhere in the world.
There are several advantages with the latest innovation in making golf courses, according to the report. A major advantage is the elimination of the need for watering the course. It is particularly helpful to Australia which is currently plagued by bouts of drought. The synthetic grass requires minimal maintenance and is expected to last for 10 years.
