Tired of the snobby treatment done by some elite golf clubs? Then this golf club in the Netherlands might be for you. Alexandra Hudson of Reuters reports on a Dutch farmer's funny take on golf called the "Farmer's Golf."
Peter Weenink conceived of the sport in 1999 due to his frustration over the exorbitant prices and elitism of the traditional golf clubs, Hudson reported. Instead of a titanium golf club, the Farmer's Golf features clubs made of a wooden clog that is attached to a long stick. Aside from that, this brand of golf differs in the number of holes per round. Instead of the traditional 18 holes, this one only has 10. The balls too are different. The ones used in the Farmer's Golf are larger than normal to make them easier to find in the field.
