Chart Your Game and Develop a Plan
WEDNESDAY, 26 JULY 2006
To be able to further improve your game, PGA's Director of Instruction Rick Martino suggests that you chart it and develop an effective plan. This is the advice that he gives in his column about improving your game at the PGA's website.
According to Martino, charting your game can help you and your PGA Professional assess the weak areas of your game. That way, he can develop a program to help you work on those areas. From there, the next step would be to create a practice schedule and routine so you can work on the aspects of your game where they are most needed.
But you should not overwork yourself when practicing, Martino advises. He says that when physical and mental fatigue sets in, you should take a breather. Pushing yourself further will only be counterproductive to your desire to improve.
