All Eyes on Woods and Faldo in British Open
WEDNESDAY, 19 JULY 2006
With this year's British Open just a day away, all eyes are on Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo who will play together in the first two rounds of the tournament. One can recall that there is tension between them because Faldo was critical of Woods' swing during the former's tenure as a golf analyst for ABC.
Woods said that there won't be much talk between him and his staunchest critic, the Associated Press quoted him as saying. Woods also added that he would be surprised if Faldo approached him and said he wanted to talk to him during the match.
The competition which will be held starting tomorrow until Sunday will also feature some of the biggest names in golf. They include Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen. For more British Open news, check their official website at www.opengolf.com.
