Bank of America Tourney Moved to September
SATURDAY, 24 JUNE 2006
The website of the PGA has recently announced that it was planning to move the Bank of America Championship to September due to heavy rains. The event was supposed to be held from June 9 to 11.
As if the rains are not enough of a problem, the tournament director Tracy West also said that they are also having a hard time trying to reschedule the event. From the club itself to the players and the volunteers, it would be a lot of hard work to make the tournament's new date to fit into each of their schedules.
According to the PGA, it was the first time that the tournament was cancelled since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
