Golf Carts

Written by: MonkeyDude

Golf Carts Golf Carts, sometimes known as golf buggies and officially known as golf cars, are electric- or gas-driven vehicles with or without roofs and usually with open sides which make life a little bit easier not only for golfers, but for other people as well. Depending on the manufacturer, a Golf Cart’s capacity varies, but usually ranges from two to four people.

They are not actually necessary to a game of Golf - if a golfer is healthy and able, then walking would be a much healthier option. However, Golf Carts make playing the game a lot more convenient, particularly for those who have problems such as rheumatism and arthritis. They also provide shelter from the harmful rays of the sun, and if you are very far away from the clubhouse or wherever your destination is, and wish to get there as quickly as possible (for example, if there is sudden, heavy rain), driving is the best way to do it. The back also has provisions for one or more Golf Bags and other pieces of Golf Equipment.

For those who travel and play Golf in various places, you should inquire from the attendants of the Golf Course about renting the vehicles from the club. Some clubs charge by the minute or hour, and others charge for every 18-hole round. If you wish, you may purchase them from online shops or in person in sports and Golf specialty stores if you really wish to, especially if you live near one or two 18-hole golf courses. Some Golf Carts are made for rough terrain, and if you own a large area of land, an “all terrain” Golf Cart provides a much less bumpy ride than a horse.

Some people use Golf Carts as a means of transportation on public roads - but that is dependent on local transportation regulations, so if you own one and the law allows it, you could experience a huge reduction in transportation costs (or you could be seeing a huge increase in operating expense – depending on how you use it). Electric-powered cars need to be charged regularly, but compared to gas-powered ones, they are less expensive in the long run.
