Disc Golf Disc Golf is an outdoor activity which is similar to Golf but the goal is to complete each hole in as few throws or strokes as possible. Instead of using Golf Clubs and a Golf Ball, disc golfers use a golf disc to traverse the hole.

Everyone knows how to throw a Frisbee and so, Disc Golf spells fun for people of all ages and skill levels. There is no need to become an athlete before starting to play Disc Golf. It only requires a good deal of practice, hand - eye coordination, and strength. One can make it the greatest lifetime sport around because it is easy to learn Disc Golf, thus, making it very addictive; the more you play it, the more dynamic and challenging the game becomes.

Compensating for the wind makes Disc Golf different from Golf or any other game of skill because the player needs to navigate the disc accurately and artistically in and around trees or any other obstacle. Another great thing about this sport is that it is very affordable. Golf discs can be purchased from $5 to $15 apiece and could already bring lots of entertainment while an 18 - hole round will cost $5 at the most.

When it comes to the playing area, there are 2000 courses in the world, most of them are located in the United States. These are commonly set up in city parks and Disc Golf can usually be played for free.

Since people nowadays are becoming more health-conscious, Disc Golf is a great recreational activity to improve health and the quality of life. Disc golfers are hooked, increasing the likelihood of frequent participation. Disc Golf uses a combination of mental and physical abilities, but sometimes could allow very little risk of physical injury.

Disc Golf also gives proper conditioning for upper and lower body and serves as an aerobic exercise that people need. Also, obstacles and mastery of shots in playing Disc Golf will also increase the skill in concentration. The disc golfer needs to start slowly then gradually increase the level of play as health condition improves. Most importantly, Disc Golf can be played rain or shine, so you can enjoy the game any time you want.
