Why do people play golf? and if you don't mind me asking, how much do professional players earn in their games?

Well, for me golf is a way of life. Golf is already part of my life, so if I failed to play golf I feel so lonely and incomplete. For now I have no idea how much a professional golfer can earn in a game or in a tournament. I guess in golf, it is not only how much money you will earn in a game but the dedication, happiness and love for the game are the most important things in playing.
